2025-26 Winter Basketball

Connellsville Basketball Association Winter Basketball League

Basketball program for youth ages 3-18. The programs focuses on the fundamentals of basketball along with the enhancement of the skills as they progress through the years is what has made our basketball program successful. Any player may request to play up one division and will be assessed by all coaches to determine if they have the skills & abilities to play in the higher division.

We are a competitive, instructional league. We emphasize fundamentals and skill building, along with teamwork, confidence and individual growth in a safe, competitive environment.

Divisions IA, I & II will play between 9 or more regular season games plus playoffs and championships. DIII will play 5 or more games plus a year end tournament. There will be an All-Star game for all competitive divisions for players selected to the game and skill competitions that all players will be eligible to do.

We have 5 divisions of basketball: (Divisions may be altered, dropped, added or combined based on registration numbers)

Little Ballers: Ages 3-5 (Coed)

This division focuses on physical activity, following instructions, basic dribbling and shooting with a bit of passing thrown in. This division does not play any competitive games, but we focus on having fun, learning and becoming better in the skills necessary to succeed at the next levels.

Division III: Ages 6-9 (Coed)

This division continues focus on the fundamentals (passing, dribbling and shooting) while beginning to learn the rules of the game and enhance skills. They will begin to learn the rules, positions and skills needed to play 5v5 basketball. This division will play scored games but there will be no standings. This will culminate in a tournament at the end of the season. We will be asking for volunteers for scoring and officiating in this division.

Division II: Ages 10-12 (Coed)

This is a competitive division. Players will continue to enhance their fundamental skills and learn more parts of the game as more offensive and defensive strategies will be shown. Players will feel the pressure of competitive basketball and build character as they improve on their skills. Season will conclude with playoffs and Championship. Although this is a competitive division, players should enjoy learning and playing the game without worrying about winning.

Division I: Ages 13-15 (Boys/Girls)

This is a competitive division. Players will continue to enhance their fundamental skills and learn more parts of the game as more offensive and defensive strategies will be shown. Players will feel the pressure of competitive basketball and build character as they further improve on their skills and game knowledge. Season will conclude with playoffs and Championship. Although this is a competitive division, players should enjoy learning and playing the game without worrying about winning.

Division IA: Ages 16-18 (Boys/Girls)

This is a ultra competitive division. Players will continue to enhance their skills and learn even more offensive and defensive strategies. Players will experience high pressure, competitive basketball and build more character, confidence, skills and leadership. This division is ideal for high school players who just missed making their school teams, AAU & travel players not playing on school teams. Season will conclude with playoffs and Championship.

Cheer: Ages 9-15

Cheer squad that will cheer during selected DIA, DI & DII Games. Will perform half-time cheer routine and quick cheers during time-outs and game breaks.
