2026 CBA Summer 3v3 Basketball

Connellsville Basketball Association Summer 3v3 Basketball Program

The Summer 3v3 Basketball Program is a fast-paced developmental league designed to keep players active, improving, and competing in a fun and exciting environment throughout the summer months. The program focuses on maximizing touches on the ball, increasing scoring opportunities, and helping players build confidence while continuing to develop their basketball skills.

Our 3v3 format allows players to be more involved in every possession, promoting skill development, decision-making, teamwork, and conditioning. Games and practices are conveniently scheduled on the same day, making the program an ideal summer activity for busy families. We emphasize fundamentals, sportsmanship, and player growth in a safe, structured, and competitive environment.

During games, there will be no coaching from the sidelines. This approach allows players to think for themselves, communicate with teammates, and learn from their own decisions and mistakes in real time—helping build confidence, leadership, and basketball IQ. Coaches will still be present to support player development, but game play will be driven by the players on the court.

To create an enjoyable and energetic experience, music will be played during games, helping establish a fun, exciting atmosphere that keeps players engaged and makes each game feel like a special event for participants and families.

The season will consist of approximately six weeks of play followed by Championship Week. Players will participate in team-based competition and skill development in an environment designed to keep them active, learning, and having fun throughout the summer.

Each team may play up to two games per day, with a minimum of 30 minutes of rest time between games to ensure player safety and performance.

Divisions may be combined, adjusted, or removed based on registration numbers. Every effort will be made to keep divisions within a three-year age range whenever possible to promote competitive balance and player development.

3v3 Basketball Program

We offer multiple age divisions to provide appropriate competition and development opportunities for all players:

All Divisions COED

Ages 8–9

This division introduces players to the 3v3 format while continuing to build confidence in dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. Players will develop game awareness and decision-making while enjoying a fun and supportive environment.

Ages 10–11

Players will continue strengthening their fundamental skills while learning spacing, movement, and teamwork in a more structured competitive setting. This division encourages growth, effort, and positive sportsmanship.

Ages 12–13

This division focuses on skill refinement and game strategy. Players will experience increased competition while continuing to build confidence, teamwork, and basketball knowledge.

Ages 14–15

Players will compete in a more advanced environment where game speed, decision-making, and teamwork become increasingly important. This division helps prepare players for higher levels of competition.

Ages 16–18 (No High School Graduates)

This competitive division is designed for high school-aged players who want to stay active, sharpen their skills, and compete in a structured summer league environment.

Adult Division

Adult Division (18 Years and Up)

The adult division provides an opportunity for older players to stay active, compete, and enjoy the game in a structured and organized league setting. This division promotes sportsmanship, fitness, and community involvement.
